A: Those pictures you see in the forums and elsewhere are called avatars. The picture will be your online guise, your persona, if you will. Most people will associate your avatar to yourself so pick a good picture to use. You can change your avatar at anytime you wish.

To get an avatar, first you need a picture to use from either another website or your computer. The image must be less than 40K. If the image is large, the site will resize the image to fit. Update your personal settings to find the avatar control panel at the top. Uploading from your computer is the easiest thing to use. Just browse for your image on your computer and click 'update' at the bottom of the page.

A: In the avatar options in the personalization section of the User CP, check the box for 'delete avatar' and click update. Your avatar will be deleted.

A: There are a few items in the personalization section that require you to purchase a license for. Don't worry, these licenses are free. You just need the appropriate amount of credits to purchase them at the Site Shop. Most licenses are fairly inexpensive to buy and it is good to have all the licenses.

A: Like the name states, it is the small bit of text added to the ends of your comments in the forums. The signature can change so it is sort of a mini advertisement for yourself to use. You can use it to link to your favorite topics or your systems. You can use ASEcode in the signature, but please keep images small.

A: The personal quote is a very small piece of text that will show under your username in the forums and elsewhere. It is a small tag line for people to see. You don't have to use this option if you don't want to, it is completely optional.

A: In the personalization section of the User CP are areas for other information about yourself. You can fill in things such as your biography which can contain lots of text as well as your interests and jobs.

You can also fill out your location if you want. The location will show up near your user details when posting in the forums. Leave it blank to remove this or any field.
